Patch Poll: Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts?

Let us know business is the king of coffee in the Wantagh-Seaford area.

International coffee giant Starbucks opened its first Wantagh store last week in the Willow Wood Shops at 1143 Wantagh Ave. in a building that formerly housed a Dunkin Donuts.

Ironically, the new Wantagh Starbucks location is also directly across the street from a Dunkin Donuts located on 1148 Wantagh Ave. Both Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts businesses are known for their coffee, so we want to know from you who has the better brew?

I love Starbucks. It just makes me happy. Although the mint hot chocolate from dunkin' is way better than the Starbucks peppermint hot chocolate.

I have Keurig at home, and at work we have 4 Keurig machines in a cafeteria, a lunch room, and two pantries. We are currently in the process of getting rid of all the Keurig machines and K-Cups, replacing them with Tassimo brewing machines and pods after extensive and conclusive preference testing.

Chris, how ironic, i just "passed on" my tassimo and gevalia coffee to a friend who loves cappocinno(sic?) - If i had known i would have sent it to you its been sitting in the pantry for AGES along with all the other not often used but HAD to have appliances. The keurig is convenient,k-cups are plentiful and a full variety but I have to say my KRUPPS is still my go to "pot" for the days i want or need ALOT of coffee Those K-cups and tassimo pods can be expensive, we typically use the k-cup insert that you use with your own coffee, another reason why we got the Keurig, Tassimo doesnt have that ability .... a pound of Dunkin or Starbucks coffee is cheaper and lasts longer then a case of Dunkin or Starbucks k cups..
