So today I took a leap of faith.
After a prior bad experience with getting my chest and back waxed, I decided to try out a new place. Backstory first.
The last time, I decided it'd be a good idea to get a waxing at a nail salon that's more known for eyebrows than chest or back. The result? I almost cried, and it took almost two hours. Afterwards, I had a bad reaction and when it subsided, I had hair.
No bueno.
This time, the process was much smoother. First of all, there's no strips to be pulled. The wax itself dries, and then it's pulled off as it clings to your roots. It's not pain-free, but it's a walk in the park compared to the alternative I experienced.
I was impressed by the attention to detail. It wasn't just my chest, back and stomach, but they got my side and my neck and made sure no stone was left unturned, so to speak.
The woman who helped me was constantly making jokes and keeping me laughing, which provided a nice distraction from the occasional jolts of pain.
All in all, definitely a place I will go to again. I know you all want to see my experience, which is why we chronicled the day in photos.
