Local Apparel Company Teams Up With Yanks' David Robertson

LOCAL APPAREL COMPANY TEAMS UP WITH YANKEES PITCHER DAVID ROBERTSON

“Charitee” on the minds of local small business owners as BXP Apparel will join forces with Yankee reliever David Robertson in raising awareness and support for his

 “High Socks for Hope” foundation.

Local tee shirt company Bronx Pastime Apparel is working to raise money for Yankee pitcher David Robertson’s charity, High Socks for Hope.  BXP’s owners and the Robertsons have been working together to design a new tee shirt to raise money for Alabama tornado victims.  The shirt is now available for purchase online at www.bxpapparel.com with all profits donated to High Socks for Hope.

High Socks for Hope--named for Robertson’s signature “old-school” look on the mound--was formed by David Robertson, a Tuscaloosa native, and his wife Erin.  Their foundation is vital to rebuilding the area, which was ravaged by tornadoes on April 27, 2011.  The foundation also accepts tax deductible donations at www.highsocksforhope.com.

Bronx Pastime Apparel, formed in 2012 by lifelong Yankee fans Chris Scala, Andrew Cennamo, and Sergio DeCiantis, offers the latest in fan-made Bronx Bomber themed tee shirts available for purchase online.

“Helping people in need is a very important aspect of our company”, says Cennamo. “We want to promote positive messages and create a sense of family among our customers.”

Be a part of the Bronx Pastime Family, and celebrate “a shared tradition.”

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.

A tantalizing, mind-teasing story about a faceless team with no names who won honorable mention forRead More some project about which we learned absolutely nothing from this article. Journalism 101: Who what, why when and where?
