Jeanie's Bakery had a thank-you party on November 3rd for the East Rockaway and Wantagh Fire Departments in recognition of all they did for their respective communities in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy last fall. Jeanie Anecco, owner of the bakery which recently opened their second location at 3337 Park Avenue, Wantagh created a detailed replica of a fire truck - made of cake- for the occasion. Captain Greg Torborg from East Rockaway Fire Department and Captain David Spencer from the Wantagh Fire Department, were present at the bakery's Wantagh location to enjoy the treats, along with many of the firefighters, who looked quite happy to be there and be recognized.
