Operation Sunblock....Help protect our Troops as they protect us!

Selected independent Mary Kay distributors have teamed up with Soldiers' Angels to get our troops the skin protection they need. Did you know that it is a chargeable offense to suffer from any preventable infection caused by the harmful effects of the sun and be rendered unfit for duty. With the U.S. military conducting combat operations in hot dessert environments such as Iraq and Afghanistan, sunscreen has become an essential part of American soldiers’ kit. In Iraq and Afghanistan, where the sun shines constantly, temperatures can reach 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Painful sun burns are one of the issues that soldiers must deal with, thus soldiers must use sunscreen daily. The military take this issue very seriously. Julie Villumsen, Independent Sales Director in Wantagh, is supporting this project in honor of her nephew who has served in Afghanistan three times. A donation of $20 will make one Sun Protection Care package available to a deserving soldier. The Tax ID# for Soldiers' Angels (so you can claim the donation) is 20-0583415. The donated sets are being sent directly from participating Mary Kay consultants to Soldiers' Angels, who will then distribute it to the soldiers. Contact Julie at 516-695-4137 to make your donation. Cash/checks only please.
