#96: The Wantagh and Seaford Libraries

Each library offers something that appeals to everyone.

The and both offer various ways of escaping out of reality and swimming into the pages of the books lining the walls of the buildings.

Both libraries have sections specifically for children and young adults in addition to the thousands of other books they hold. But reading, while ever so important, is not the only service these libraries offer.

The Wantagh Library has many different events going on during the week ranging from quilting classes to seniorobics to strength and toning classes. While there are classes for adults, parents can bring their tots to the library’s “Tot Time” or “Spring Storytime.” Registration is needed before attending any of the classes, which range in price from either being free admission to $38.

The Seaford Public Library also offers many programs for the public. This includes children's programs such as Creative Playtime, Night-time Storyhour, as well as craft classes for upcoming holidays. If you’re interested in Monet, the library offers an “Art with Ivy” class in which you can create your own Monet masterpiece.
