Digging Out from a White Post-Christmas

Cleanup begins from more than a foot and a half of snow that hit Wantagh-Seaford area.

There was no white Christmas in 2010 but the day after the joyous holiday saw the start of a major snowstorm bearing down on the Wantagh-Seaford area.

The blizzard wrapped up Monday morning and residents began the process of digging out from the more than a foot and a half of snow left from the storm's path. The storm also featured gusty winds that caused hundreds of power outages in the area Sunday into Monday. Power was restorted to most Wantagh and Seaford homes by mid Monday afternoon, accoring to the Long Island Power Authority's stormcenter website.

Here are a few blizzard photos from around Wantagh-Seaford, but please upload your own photos as well! Whether you're shoveling snow or building a snowman, we want to see how you held up in the storm.
