Tia Torres, who heads the Villalobos Rescue Center in Los Angeles and stars on “Pitbulls and Parolees", is scheduled to appear at the Bully Brigade. The rescue of the pitbulls is expected to be taped for an upcoming episode of “Pitbulls and Parolees", according to Hempstead officials. The Villalobos Rescue Center has named the group of pitbulls who will be rescued, “The Hempstead Hopefuls.”

“We are thrilled that these dogs will be taken in by a wonderful organization that provides hope for pitbulls across the country,” said Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray.

“These pitbulls will be in loving, caring hands with Villalobos Rescue Center, led by Tia Torres,” said Iacopella. “They are getting a second chance to live a loving life with family instead of being subjected to a horrible life of cruelty.

Sunday's Bully Brigade will include an adoption fair, vendors, trainers, breed advocates, holistic experts and T-touch demos. At 12:30 p.m. , the pit parade of "ambassadors" will take place with the furry animals putting their best paws forward with hopes of adoption.

Yes I love animals but what should be monitors also are the horrible owners who don't know how to take care of their pitbulls

I have an even bigger newsflash for you.
EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT: Pitbulls who were trained to be vicious will always be vicious. They have vicious propensities. Once an animal gets a taste of blood that's what they want more and more - A taste of blood. You are an animal lover and there is no problem with that, but unfortunately you can not separate your love of a dog with reality. Pits and Rots that were trained to be vicious are just that, VICIOUS and mean. Hey you are stealing my line. PERIOD..... signed, I.M.Right Again

its all in the breeding and upbringing that makes any dog who it is.stop blaming the breed, its the owner who's to blame.

Dear "I M Right Again" he he he, ok,.. you DO have the right to your own opinion, I respect that. My apologies for the harsh response, it was inappropiate, especially not knowing you as a person, or your negative experience with this breed.. So, with that being said, I can tell you in my experience, they are the sweetest, most loyal breed I've known. Yes, like Rotts, Dobs, and even Shepps, they can be "trained" to be vicious, but they can also be trained to be kind ~ it's all in the hands of the owners. So, try not to be so unforgiving with this breed, and instead place your prejudice on the humans who take advantage of this breeds loyality and make them vicious. Come on Paul, you can do it... just give them a chance ~ I promise you wont regret it and probably even come to love this breed as much as I do....
Signed, I M Right Too!!! : )

Dear Lea,
Tisk - Tisk- Tisk. You just proved my point. Thank you..... A pit that is raised to be vicious will always be vicious. I see you are following the ways of your vicious pits. Nasty, with vicious propensities. Perhaps you need to be trained in something you are lacking like, people skills.... It seems that you have become a mirror image of your beloved nasty pits. Thank you for proving my point to others who may read this. I can not help it but it also seems I am right again....... Ho hum....

Why is the director, Iacopella, acting like she is a pitbull advocate when she continues to deem adoptable pitbulls as aggressive and then murder them, when cameras aren't rolling? Why was Villalobos asking for donations to help Tia with her cross country trip to help these dogs when Tohas has a $$$7 MILLION dollar budget???!! This was just a publicity stunt for Kate Murray and that horrible former NY ACC employee/now Tohas director, who is killing for space on a $$7 million dollar budget because she has no idea how to actually get the animals adopted. Even though Villalobos was helping Tohas, they still refuse to open the 7 million dollar wallet to help them! Iacopella was right about one thing, that they are getting a "second chance instead of being subjected to a life of cruelty"...the life of cruelty was every second in that sewer of a kill shelter!
