The Seaford Wellness Council is holding its eighth annual community cleanup of this Saturday.
The cleanup of the preserve located in Seaford along the Massapequa border is taking place in conjunction with the American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day 2012 celebration being conducted across the country that day. This year's cleanup will focus on the northern section of the preserve that extends from Clark Street to Jerusalem Avenue.
“This is a worthwhile effort to help make Seaford a better community in a real hands-on way,” said Peter Ruffner, secretary for h Seaford Wellness Council and event chairman.

Saturday’s cleanup will start at 9 a.m. with volunteers gathering at the Clark Street entrance for assignment and instructions. Further information regarding the cleanup is available on the Seaford Wellness Council’s website.
