Annual Wantagh Snowball Run Slated for Saturday
Five-mile race sponsored by Wantagh Chamber of Commerce to begin at 8 a.m.
The 20th annual Wantagh Chamber of Commerce Snowball Run is scheduled for Saturday morning in the streets of Wantagh.
The five-mile race, which is sponsored by the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce, will start and end at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall on 3232 Railroad Ave. The race begins at 8 a.m. with participants then treated to a post-run party inside Mulcahy's featuring refreshments and raffles with gifts provided by many Wantagh businesses. Awards will also be presented to the top male and female finishers in different age groups as well as to the best holiday costume and most patriotic runners.
Registration for the Snowball Run is $25 and can be done online. People interested in volunteering for the race are asked to send an e-mail to mdunne@mulcahys.com. For further information on the race log onto the Snowball Run's website.
