Get Out April 1-3: Big Shot, Spongebob and More

Indulge in all the Wantagh-Seaford area has to offer this weekend.

The weekend is finally approaching, and Wantagh-Seaford Patch has found plenty for our readers to do. Whether you are looking for the sounds of Billy Joel, a new pet or a fundraiser, Wantagh-Seaford Patch has found something for you.

Big Shot, who has come to be a regular performer at Mulcahy's over the years, is one of the most popular Billy Joel tribute bands in the area, and has even grown to be recognized by the singer himself. The band will be on stage from 9 p.m. until 12 a.m. Various drink and beer specials are available during the show.

The Wantagh Fire Department will host The World Memorial, an honorable tribute to those who died on 9/11. The World Memorial, a California-based organization, will be touring the country in honor of the Sept. 11 attack's 10-year anniversary. A march will start from the Wantagh High School and travel to the Wantagh Fire Headquarters where a ceremony will begin.

Shampooch Grooming Spa & Boutique, a new addition to Wantagh, is holding their second adoption event this Saturday. Various breeds and sizes of puppies will be available to all attendees, along with professional animal trainer Tuncay Adem.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Wantagh Fire Department will hold a pancake breakfast with hopes to raise money to send a severely burned child to the "Children's Burn Summer Camp". The breakfast costs $5 for adults, $3 for children under 10-years old or $20 for a family household.
