Get Out, Wantagh-Seaford

Take advantage of the many events going on around the area this weekend.

The weekend is finally approaching, and in spite of the gloomy weather, the Wantagh-Seaford area has plenty to offer this weekend! Whether you are looking for live entertainment, arts and crafts or super bowl specials, Wantagh-Seaford Patch has found something for everyone.

1. Happy Hour at Pub and Concert Hall

With one of the best Happy Hours on Long Island, Mulcahy's never disappoints on Friday. Unwind after work with 2-for-1 beers and mixed drinks and a free dinner buffet.

2. Big Shot at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall

Big Shot, who has come to be a regular performer at Mulcahy's over the years, is one of the most popular Billy Joel tribute bands in the area, and has even grown to be recognized by the singer himself. The band will be on stage from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. Various drink and beer specials are available during the show.

3. Boomers Brew Live at

When: Friday, Feb. 4; 9 p.m.-Midnight
Where: 4068 Sunrise Hwy., Seaford
Pricing: No cover

Boomers Brew, a popular Long Island rock band, will be performing live at Sunset Grill of Seaford. Enjoy the sounds of a local favorite while dining or drinking at one of Seaford's oldest restaurants.

4. S Community Blood Drive

When: Saturday, Feb 5; 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Where: 1575 Seamans Neck Rd., Seaford
Pricing: Free

The Seaford Lions Club will be hosting one of the county's largest blood drives this Saturday. Donors must be atleast 17 years old, 110 pounds and have not donated blood within the last 56 days. The blood drive serves as a great way for local residents to give back, especially with the recent blood shortage.

5. Valentines Crafts at

When: Saturday, Feb 5; 10:30-11:30 a.m.

 2234 Jackson Ave., Seaford
Pricing:

Children in kindgertaten through fifth grade are invited to the Seaford Public Library Saturday morning to participate in holiday crafts. Christine, a library employee, will be helping children make Valentines decorations using glitter and hearts.

6. Southbar Saturday at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall

When: Saturday, Feb 5; 8 p.m.-4 a.m.
Where: 3232 Railroad Ave., Wantagh
Pricing: No cover until 10 p.m., $3 after 10 p.m.

Mulcahy's brings one of the best Saturday night parties on Long Island right to Wantagh. DJ Mikey C will be spinning dance hits all night, and drink specials include $2.50 Bud Light cans and $2.50 mixed rail drinks until 10 p.m., and $3.50 Bud Light bottles and mixed rail drinks until close.

7. Superbowl XLV at American Bar and Grill

When: Sunday, Feb. 6; 6:30 p.m.
Where: 1885 Wantagh Ave., Wantagh
Pricing: $55 all inclusive open bar and dinner buffet

Hemingway's is offering one of the best deals in town. For $55 , football fans are given an all inclusive, premium open bar and full gourmet buffet from kick off to last point. Buffet choices will change each quarter to offer a variety of Hemingway's fine foods. Super bowl boxes are still available for $20.
