This week we have a glow in the dark skating session, screening of Toy Story 3 and Gnomeo and Juliet, an outdoor concert and a meet and greet with cats. Check it all out below:

Glow Crazy Public Skate
Where/When: United Skates of America Roller Skating; Friday, Aug. 5 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
Why Go: The kids can skate to all of the top 40 music hits in glow in the dark environment during this skate session. They will love the glowing skating rink combined with all of the most popular music. Plus, food and beverages are available for purchase. A fantastic way for the family to spend a Friday evening together.
Pricing: $10 for children, $11 for adults.
 
Friday Films: Toy Story 3
Where/When: East Meadow Public Library; Friday, Aug. 5 at 1 p.m.
Why Go: Join Woody, Buzz Lightyear and all of the other fan favorite characters for an afternoon watching this delightful children-friendly flick. Comedy ensues when the entire gang is left in a daycare center. Escape the summer heat inside with the kids!
Pricing: Free
 
Concert: Salute to Veterans
Where/When: Eisenhower Park in East Meadow; Friday, Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: Have the kids honor veterans past and present with this concert under the stars in Eisenhower Park. There will be plenty of music, courtesy of Dean Karahalis and the Concert Pops, for everyone to enjoy. Bring a blanket and have a picnic dinner with the whole family before the show – the perfect way for kids and parents to bond together.
Pricing: Free.
 
Adoptable Cats Meet & Greet
Where/When: Petco in Levittown: Saturday, Aug. 6 and Sunday, Aug. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go: The little ones will love petting some furry feline friends during this meet and greet. Everyone will get to interact with these animals in a safe environment. Just be careful – you might come home with a new family pet!
Pricing: Free.
 
Family Film: Gnomeo & Juliet
Where/When: North Bellmore Public Library; Saturday, Aug. 6 at 1 p.m.
Why Go: This children’s film will delight both kids and adults. The storyline is based off of the classic “Romeo and Juliet” with an adorably modern twist. Parents and youngsters can bond over this timeless story.
Pricing: Free.

I just paid $22.87 for an iPad2-64GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $675 which only cost me $62.81 to buy.
