Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert Set For Sunday at Mulcahy's

Smithtown resident who put together an album for the Occupy Wall Street movement is the host of a relief benefit concert in Wantagh for those impacted by Hurricane Sandy.

A Smithtown High School graduate and Executive Producer of an album dedicated to and inspired by the Occupy Wall Street movement has organized a concert with proceeds going towards Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

Jason Samel, who put together and recorded for Occupy this Album, organized the Hurricane Sandy Relief Conscious Jam, which is set for Sunday from 4-10 p.m. at Mulcahy's Pub & Concert Hall in Wantagh. Tickets for the show require a $20 donation to the “Occupy Sandy” Relief Efforts.

Music will be provided by DJ Logic, Phish cover band Jellyband, Grateful Dead cover band The Electrix, D.J. Nickodemus, Groundswell, Long Island reggae-rock band Groundswell, and more.
