New Wantagh Preservation Society Officers Sworn In

New officers for the Wantagh Preservation Society were sworn in during a recent meeting by Nassau County Legis. Dave Denenberg, D-Merrick.

The new officers for the organization were sworn in at a Nov. 27 meeting held at Wantagh High School. The officers include Bob Meagher (president), Tom Watson (recording secretary), Wayne Wagner (treasurer), Elaine Yarris (corresponding secretary), Robert Leuchtman (trustee) and Chris Wendt (treasurer). The officers were also presented citations by Denenberg, whose 19th legislative district encompasses the southern area of Wantagh. 

The Wantagh Preservation Society maintains the Wantagh Museum and engages in other activities to improve the historical and environmental values of the community.
