Planning of 2013 Seaford Relay For Life Kicks Off Tuesday

Meeting scheduled to begin organization efforts for the second annual American Cancer Society fundraising event.

After a successful inaugural Seaford Relay for Life last spring, planning for the second annual fundraiser for the American Cancer Society will kick off with a meeting Tuesday evening.

Tuesday's organizational  meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. in the Seaford Harbor School All Purpose Room. The meeting will feature planning for the 2013 Seaford Relay For Life after raising more than $40,000 for the American Cancer Society at last year's fundraising event.

The first Seaford Relay for Life last June featured people of all ages walking around the track at Seaford High School for cancer survivors, loved ones lost to the disease and to raise funds for research. The fundraising event also included a luminaire ceremony at 9 p.m. where a slit lap took place to remember those lost to cancer.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.

A tantalizing, mind-teasing story about a faceless team with no names who won honorable mention forRead More some project about which we learned absolutely nothing from this article. Journalism 101: Who what, why when and where?

If the trees are at the curb the Town of Hempstead will take them down for $150.00 per tree. If youRead More are a senior the cost to you is zero. Trees on your property are your responsibility.
