Power Outages Reported in Wantagh and Seaford

Crews are assessing the situation and could have all power restored by 7:30 p.m. Friday.

As of 4 p.m. LIPA is reporting 104 households are without power throughout the Town of Hempstead, 13 of which are in Seaford and 10 in Wantagh.

Power could be restored by 7 p.m. (Seaford) and 7:30 p.m. (Wantagh), according to LIPA's outage map.

The power authority is closely monitoring weather conditions and electric usage throughout the area, and will continue to have extra crews available to respond to outages that may be associated with the hot weather.
