Seaford Historical Society to Host Fundraising Treasure Sale

Sunday's benefit event will feature local vendors offering jewelry, crafts, antiques and more.

The and the Seaford Ladies Auxiliary are joining forces to host a fundraising treasure sale this weekend for the first time in nearly eight years.

Alice Soliwoda, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, which is affiliated with the , said Sunday's event will allow local residents to give back to organizations that work effortlessly for their hometown.

"This will offer the community an opportunity to come an support those vendors that are supporting two entities who give so much back to [Seaford]," said Soliwoda, whose husband volunteers with the Seaford Fire Department. "We hope community members may opt to participate as vendors for future events when they see what a great success this will turn out to be."

Sunday's sale will feature vendors selling jewelry, handmade crafts, floral arrangements, fashion accessories and more. Proceeds raised from a portion of the sales will benefit the Seaford community in various ways.

"[The sale] is a fundraiser for the Seaford Historical Society," Soliwoda explained. "It is also a fundraiser to help our organization support the men and women of the Seaford Fire department. We grant scholarship awards to eligible children of department members and give back to the community by adopting local families in times of need."

The sale will take place on the grounds of the at 3890 Waverly Ave. on Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
