Seaford Pizzeria Holding Fundraiser for Local Woman Battling Cancer

Brooklyn Square Pizza on Merrick Road will donate a portion of sales on March 19 in support of cancer treatments for Seaford resident Tara Robinson not covered by family's medical insurance.

A Seaford pizzeria is stepping up to the plate for a local woman fighting a serious cancer battle.

Brooklyn Square Pizza on 3620 Merrick Road is holding a fundraiser this Tuesday called Tara Robinson Day. A portion of sales from that day will be donated in support of Robinson’s cancer treatments, which are not covered by the family’s medical insurance. Robinson has children at Seaford Harbor School and Seaford Middle School.

“Let’s all step up to the plate, the dinner plate that is, and go to bat for a friend in need. It's not like we need an excuse to get pizza, right? Just do a favor and be sure to let Brooklyn Square Pizza know that your purchase is for Tara when you place your order for any of their delicious menu items.

We're a small town that has gone through a lot lately, but with all we've been through, we still have had the strength to support our friends and neighbors that have suffered through the most severe difficulties. We’re a close-knit community that bands together and rallies around those in need."
