Seaford Wellness Council Hot Chocolate 5K Race Draws Hundreds

More the 900 runners take to the streets of Seaford Saturday morning.

Over 900 runners took to the streets of Seaford Saturday morning for the seventh annual Seaford Wellness Council's Hot Chocolate 5K Run.

The winner of the 3.1-mile race was Dan McGrath from Sunnyside, Queens with a time of 15:24. The top female finisher was Jessica Petermann of Amityville with a time of 19:08. 

Following the race trophies were handed out to the top finishers and there was a raffle drawing of items donated by many local Seaford and Wantagh stores. Hot chocolate and bagels were also served to all participants.

The race started and ended just outside on Seamans Neck Road. Musicians from Seaford High School performed inside the school as participants picked up their numbers and registered for the race.
