Storm Relief Efforts to Be Discussed at Civic Meeting Tuesday Night

Seaford Harbor Civic Association scheduled to meet Tuesday night at Seaford Public Library.

The ongoing relief efforts in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy will be discussed at a Seaford Harbor Civic Association meeting scheduled for Tuesday night at the Seaford Public Library.

The Seaford Harbor area south of Merrick Road was hit especially hard by the Oct. 29 storm with several homes flooded to go along with debri damage and power being knocked out. A tagless tag sale was held next to the Seaford Harbor School this past Saturday in an effort to distribute items to local residents in need. Seaford Harbor Civic Association President Phil Franco and other volunteers from the area also handed out fliers Sunday morning that contained need-to-know information and resources on how best to address storm-related issues.

Tuesday's Seaford Harbor Civic Association meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. Franco said in addition to storm relief efforts, the upcoming referendum vote for a condominium proposal at the former Seaford Avenue School property may also be discussed.
