Summer is the time to adopt a pet in Town of Hempstead.

The Town will offer deals on medical needs for newly adopted pets through September as part of their "Summer of Love" pet adoption program.

Now through Sept. 12, all animals adopted from the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter will get spayed or neutered, rabies vaccinations, shots, and microchipping, all free of charge. Cats will also receive free testing for feline AIDS and leukemia.

Get ToH hours of operation and adoption, photos and bios of adoptable animals, and more here.
