Wantagh-Seaford Week in Review

Aug 31 to Sept. 6

It was a week of beginnings and endings and starts and stops, which began with a holiday and ended with High Holy Days.

Here's a look back:

We began the week with a holiday weekend, but once Tuesday arrived, it was back to school.  The new year is the first with all day kindergarten in Wantagh.

Seaford schools also kicked off the year, starting Wednesday. Elementary schools were equipped with new computers.

But school was only in session briefly this week before closing for Rosh Hashannah. The Jewish New Year, also led to tighter security in Nassau County.

There was a wild scene on Merrick Road Thursday morning as a car crashed into a building in Seaford.

Finally, all of the news in Wantagh and Seaford came at a tense time internationally as the US debated possible military action in Syria. We asked how Rep. Peter King should vote.
