What Should Santa to Bring to Wantagh-Seaford For Christmas?

What's the one thing you'd ask that our area be given for the coming year?

Over the past year, residents have come up with quite a wish list of things they'd like to see materialize in the Wantagh-Seaford area.

From the sale of the Seaford Avenue School property and proposed Wantagh cabaret, to Hurricane Sandy cleanup, Wantagh-Seaford Patch readers have very definite ideas about how they'd like the town's landscape to develop.

Tell Patch what you would ask Santa to bring to this area on his sleigh this Christmas? Would it be a new business, a new town policy? Let us know and we'll put a good word in with St. Nick.

I would ask for a mix of magic and faith to be given to the people with damaged homes (south of Merrick). The magic part to assist with a quick (and painless) repair of their homes. Faith, so their hearts are not caught in the short-term misery and limbo they are experiencing.

awww. VL, that is such a nice post.. I am one of the people who lives south of Merrick and your post seems to suggest you understand things so well! this is not a painless process or quick and our hearts are broken! thank you for your wishes. Some people don get it, hey think it is "just things"...but these "things" mean so much more than that to us. It is a lifetime of savings to get those "things" and we did not have alot of them very long, and to see them destroyed needlessly hurts more than words can ever say, not o mention being out of our homes this time of year is horrible!

I understand the loss of the solace, and just one's little corner in the big wide world being taken away, so very harshly. Patti, from my family to you and yours...you have our prayers and heart not just for the season, but until all is restored in your life. The absolute best and "God's speed" to you.

Thank you for that! You sound like a very kind-hearted person, and for that , I hope that you have a very good future, and all of god's blessings in life. You truly deserve that. Best wishes to you and yours as well.

VL and Patti: This was such a pleasant and seemingly genuine exchange. Thank you for your candor. We wish you the best this holiday season and during your restoration process. Stay strong.

Thank you Jaime! It was a genuine exchange, I can assure you. I do not know VL, and I did not see any need to be unpleasant. There is enough unpleasantness, so no need to add to it. I am just so grateful for the people who have well-wishes...If any GOOD came out of this mess, it is the kindness of strangers. It is very hard to stay strong, but I am doing my best. The holidays are rough this year but we will get through it. Thank you for your response.
