Hurricane Irene Forces Cancellation of Jones Beach Rib Rock Festival
Saturday's concert that was to be headlined by B.B. King is called due to weather forecast.
The Rib Rock Festival that was scheduled for Wantagh’s Saturday has been cancelled by concert organizers due to safety reasons concerning Hurricane Irene.
The concert was to feature blues legend B.B. King as well as the J. Geils Band and Buddy Guy. Officials for Live Nation, the concert promoter for the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater, said refunds are available at the point of purchase.
The National Hurricane Center has issued a for the Long Ialand region this weekend.
