Aloha Maui Wowi! Welcome to Wantagh

When the Marsh family was scouting a location for their new smoothie franchise, Maui Wowi, they found the perfect spot in Wantagh - a former smoothie store.

A former information tech guy, franchisee Joseph said little construction had to be done on the Wantagh Avenue storefront, the first of its kind for Long Island. 

"We just had to come in and do franchise stuff," Joseph said.
The smoothie/coffee shop was a perfect fit for the Marsh family. A family-friendly business that's located close to their Massapequa home, Joseph added, "I don't like coffee, I love coffee."

Maui Wowi ships their coffee in from Hawaii. They'll even ground the whole beans for you right in the shop.

As for the smoothies, the store uses all natural, gluten-free ingredients. They also sell Hawaiian-made pastries. Owners of a neighboring business, Numa's Florist gifted Marsh with a good luck plant basket and their son ordered a strawberry smoothie.

The store also offers catering with a tiki bar and a special cart for street fairs.

Maui Wowi is located at 1896 Wantagh Ave. in the same shopping center at Numa's. They are brewing and blending daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, visit the main website at www.mauiwowi.com.
