Target: Data For 70M Customers Breached

Retail giant Target announced Friday that millions more customers had their data stolen than previously admitted. Target now says 70 million customers — up from an earlier figure of 40 million — had credit card numbers, email addresses, expiration dates and even debit card PINs stolen.  

Movie Theater to Reopen in April

The Glen Cove Movie Theater will reopen in April after nearly a year in limbo. Jay Levinson, who owns other movie theaters on Long Island, leased the Glen Cove theater for 15 years. He will reopen the theater after a $1 million renovation that includes the addition of digital projectors, a children's game room, new seating, concession stand and marquee.


Public Can Now Tour New Village at Patchogue

The leasing office for those interested in New Village at Patchogue when it opens later this year has opened Thursday at 29 W. Main St. in Patchogue. Of the 2,000 people signed up on the development's website, 1,500 have called in to inquire with several setting up appointments, said Tritec Real Estate Company COO Rob Loscalzo.

The Body Shop Closes its Smith Haven Mall Location

Loyal fans of the cosmetic and beauty store The Body Shop, will have to head to Roosevelt Field Mall to get their fix of the natural product line, which recently closed its Smith Haven Mall location. The company, known for its stance against testing their products on animals and promotion of fair trade, closed up the Smith Haven location on Dec. 24.
