Patch- Exactly what sort of baked goods do you specialize in?

Gunderston-We specialize in pound cake varieties and banana breads.
Our offerings change seasonally. We will be bringing back blueberry pound cake in a few weeks and our pumpkin spice cake is a fall favorite.

Patch-How did you first get involved in your field?

Gunderston-As the daughter of Norwegian Parents, my mother baked almost daily. There was always something to go with coffee at the end of the day.
I end my day with a cup of tea, and crave a little something, not too sweet to enjoy with it.

Patch-How long have you participated in local farmers markets?

Gunderston-This is our second year with the Long Island farmers markets.

Patch- What do you like about being a part of local farmers markets?

GunderstonI love meeting our customers. It is all about the connection we make with our customers who love our cakes and enjoy sharing recipes about baking.
I also am thrilled with all of the new friends we have made. The vendors at the markets are friendly, hard working entrepreneurs and we all support each other.

Patch- What do you hope to benefit from the new Seaford market?

Gunderston-We hope to introduce our cakes to a new audience and increase our customer base.

Patch-Do you have a store or do strictly on location service?

Gunderston- We currently bake from a commercial kitchen and are planning for our own space in the future.
