Dorothy's School of Dance Promoting Anti-Bullying Campaign

Dance school along Bellmore-Wantagh border raising money for the Anti-Bullying Foundation through Oct. 13 event featuring stars from Lifetime TV Show "Dance Moms: Miami."

Dorothy's School of Dance (DSD) on the Bellmore-Wantagh border will be hosting a meet and greet with Hannah and Debi Epstein of Lifetime TV's Dance Moms: Miami to help raise money and awareness for the Anti-Bullying Foundation.

The Oct. 13 event will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at DSD, which is located on 2815 Merrick Road in Bellmore immediately west of Mill Pond. The cost is $50 to attend and includes a Master Contemporary class of 45 minutes taught by Hannah Epstein. There will also be a one-hour meet and greet with Hannah and her mother Debi, who are both involved in a nationally recognized grass roots anti-bullying campaign.

“Not only is this event exclusive to Long Island, I am proud to bring Hannah and her mother to our communities for the positive messages Hannah sends," stated Dorothy Medico of DSD. “Hannah bravely stood up to her bullying and let it be documented on national TV. Instead of allowing bullying to deter her, she was inspired through dance. She sends positive messages to kids about self-image and that it is OK to be different.”

Space for this event is limited. To make reservations or for further information, call 516-783-6734 or email danceatdorothys@aol.com.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.

A tantalizing, mind-teasing story about a faceless team with no names who won honorable mention forRead More some project about which we learned absolutely nothing from this article. Journalism 101: Who what, why when and where?

If the trees are at the curb the Town of Hempstead will take them down for $150.00 per tree. If youRead More are a senior the cost to you is zero. Trees on your property are your responsibility.
