Lulu's Reopens After Brief Closing

Seaford clothing apparel store that suffered extensive flood damage from Hurricane Sandy opens its doors again.

A longtime Seaford clothing apparel shop has reopened following a short closing.

Lulu's on 3748 Merrick Road opened again for business this past Friday after shutting its doors for nearly two months following the selling of all its merchandise during a live auction held on Feb. 13. The store, which first opened 13 years ago, suffered extensive flood damage from Hurricane Sandy and was closed for a few weeks following the Oct. 29 storm before reopening again for a short time.

Joy Small, a manager at Lulu's, said all clothing items are brand new and the floors that were damaged by flooding have been repaired.

"It's been a slow road back but we're back with a vengeance," Small said. "We're excited for a new beginning."
