Grand opening celebrations were held in February for new area businesses and longtime shops that recently underwent ownership changes.
The Wantagh Chamber of Commerce welcomed Phil's Pizza on 1378 Wantagh Avenue and Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza on 3430 Sunrise Highway to the neighborhood with ribbon cuttings on Feb. 7.

The Wantagh Chamber of Commerce also held a grand opening event for Wantagh Mitsubishi on 3460 Sunrise Highway, whose new vice/president general manager is Rodney Gomez. The Seaford Chamber of Commerce extended a warm community welcome to the Seaford Palace Diner's new management and staff with a grand opening ceremony.
