New Networking Group Forms in Wantagh

Paragon IBO meets weekly at Lighthouse Diner.

A newly formed networking group that meets in Wantagh is drawing people from a variety of professions who offer insight into how to enhance their businesses.

The group called Paragon, which is part of the Interchange Business Organization (IBO), meets each Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. in the  on Sunrise Highway. Each meeting a different Paragon member delivers a short presentation. Some of the many industries represented in the group include financial services, public relations, insurance and real estate.

“We try and make every meeting informative,” said Tom Gibson, who founded IBO in 2006 and created the Paragon group that meets in Wantagh. “We bring different industries to the group and focus them together.”

Gibson, a Glen Cove resident, has also recently formed a Paragon IBO group that meets in Rockville Centre. In addition to weekly meetings in Wantagh and Rockville Centre, Gibson has organized special industry presentations such as one on tips for home ownership held at in Bellmore last month.
