Jones Beach in Wantagh has been a prime Long Island tourist sight and local destination since 1929, when storied planner Robert Moses created the park. In addition to a large beach, the park includes a boardwalk, , a , volleyball and tennis courts, a large public swimming pool and a ice cream shop.
