Runyon's In Its 29th Year Serving Seaford

Longtime restaurant/bar has a recently updated menu and upcoming football season specials.

Runyon's is located at 3928 Merrick Road in Seaford. Known as much for its Happy Hour as for its menu, the restaurant has been open since 1981.

Currently, the restaurant offers dinner specials every night of the week and also is planning a renovation of the outside as well as the front bar area. The menu has also recently been updated and now showcases both classic American fare like steaks and burgers, but also more eclectic items like Cajun and Asian-inspired dishes.  

Matthew James, who has worked at the bar for 10 years, talked about the upcoming specials. "Football season is coming up, so we'll be having lots of Sunday specials. We're also working on a Ladies Night, which we'd like to do a lot with." It is likely to include wine and cosmo specials. The bar also offers food every night from 4 to , to 7, which the usual offers of peanuts and chips complimented by other food, like cheese and crackers. There's also a popcorn maker supplying fresh popcorn to the whole bar."

FastTrack, an OTB wagering system is also available in the bar, as well as BuzzTime, a trivia gaming program that works with the TVs around the bar. Runyon's also hosts Tarrot Tuesdays, with psychic readings and a dinner for two for $31. Reservations are recommended for dinners any night of the week, but especially so if you're looking to get a reading.

Chef Tim Mahoney has recently updated the menu, with new classics like the Bull Burger, served with a fried egg, and the Weekend Blackboard Specials, where he always tries to offer something new and unusual.

The separate party room in the back is large enough to accommodate approximately 40 people. The room is spacious and has windows looking out the back of the restaurant. The restaurant is also the host of the both the Seaford Lion's Club and the Seaford Chamber of Commerce.
