Seaford Counts on El Coyote Loco

Mexican restaurant has served the community for nearly 15 years.

Open since 1996, El Coyote Loco has been bringing Mexican food to Seaford with consistent quality and great taste. Customers know they can come in for everything from an after work margarita, a wholesome meal with their family, or for a special occasion with their closest friends. The welcoming atmosphere has made it a favorite in the Wantagh-Seaford community.

Décor: The festive atmosphere at El Coyote Loco is undeniable. Brightly colored flags hang from the ceiling and striped tablecloths create a look that’s both fun and inviting. The bar is large and is partially separated from the dining area, allowing patrons to choose the type of experience best for their night.

Drinks: The drink menu includes a wide selection of beers on tap and bottled, including Corona and Dos Equis. Their regular margarita is available at $5.95 by the glass, $16.95 for a ½ pitcher, and 28.95 for a full pitcher. Other great choices include their pina colada ($7.95 per glass) and their red or white sangria ($7.95 per glass).

Appetizers: Portions sizes for the apps at El Coyote Loco can easily be a full meal, so be sure to take a close look. Jalapeno poppers, breaded and deep fried to crispy perfection ($8.95) are popular as well as their nachos deluxe ($8.95) which come with Mexican sausage in addition to beans, jalapenos, and melted cheese. Hungry guests or large groups can get the sampler platter ($11.95 for small size) and includes 6 different apps like nachos, flautas, and quesadillas.

Entrees: The great thing about eating here is the wide range of choices. If you’ve already had an appetizer or just looking for a smaller meal, try the beef taco and cheese enchilada meal (11.95) which is served with rice and refried beans. If you’re looking for a bigger meal, turn to one of their generous combinations, like the flauta, chimichanga, and quesadilla combo (13.50), which also comes with rice and refried beans. Also known for their seafood, try the fish tacos ($15.95) which come with the restaurant’s secret chipotle sauce.

Sides: Almost all meals come with rice and refried beans, but extra servings are available at $4.00 each. Other sides include guacamole ($4.95), sour cream ($2.00), and pico de gallo ($2.50). Extra tortillas ($1.50) are also an option as is  a serving of chips and salsa ($8.95).

Desserts: Flan (4.50) is a favorite of regulars but their sopapilla (7.95) is also a popular choice. They offer ice cream in chocolate and vanilla flavors ($3.95) and make very popular apple chimichanga (6.95) that comes highly recommended.

Service: The staff at El Coyote Loco are friendly and personable, providing attentive service to patrons. The bartender is knowledgeable and will be happy to make your drink of choice. Any questions are answered promptly and a server is never far in case patrons are in need of anything from more water to a dessert menu.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.
