Seaford's A Charmed Life Boutique Expands to the Home

Owner Jessica Rosner of Merrick turned her love of style and design into a successful business near her hometown.

After two years of success with her first boutique shop, Merrick native Jessica Rosner has expanded the A Charmed Life name in Seaford.

A Charmed Life Boutique opened its doors on 3501 Merrick Road in November 2010, offering shoppers state-of-the-art jewelry, accessories and small home items at an affordable cost. Shortly after her two year anniversary, Rosner opened A Charmed Life at Home, a furniture and home goods showroom located just two doors down from the original boutique.

"I had a lot of customers who would come into the boutique and tell me how much they loved the style of the store and the pieces I had brought in," said Rosner, a graduate of Calhoun High School and Hofstra University. "I gathered a lot of our display pieces from antique shops and different places that people seemed to love. I even had some people ask me to come to their houses to help them pick out furniture and accent pieces. The idea for the home store just grew from that."

A Charmed Life at Home features a 3,000 square foot showroom filled with furniture for all areas of the home, lighting pieces, home decor, bathroom vanities and kitchen cabinets.

To Rosner, outstanding customer service is key. She has been able to develop a loyal customer base since her first shop opened in 2010 that she believes has been essential in the launch of A Charmed Life at Home.

"I always try to do the right thing as a business owner," Rosner told Patch. "I know that doing right by my customers can only help my business grow. We try to create a friendly atmosphere and do everything we can to accommodate our customers. We offer free in-house design consultations and our specialty has become finding that perfect piece for our customer, even if we don’t have it on our showroom floor."

In the last year, A Charmed Life Boutique has taken off on the web as well, and Rosner said she is anticipating the same for A Charmed Life at Home.

"Right now we are in the process of creating our website," Rosner explained. "We have tons of products so it is hard to get everything on to our online store right away, but the site should be done within the coming weeks and will allow customers to buy online."
