Seaford Woman Receives Living the Mission Award

Catholic Health Services recognized for her values of respect, justice, integrity and excellence.

Catholic Health Services (CHS) recently presented its Living the Mission Award to Karen Dean for exemplifying the CHS mission values of respect, justice, integrity and excellence.

Dean, assistant director of finance, physician acquisition, was nominated for her outstanding qualities and received the award from CHS’s Chairman Richard J.J. Sullivan, Jr., at a ceremony held at CHS’s headquarters in Rockville Centre.

A resident of Seaford, Dean has earned the admiration of many at CHS for the respect she extends toward others. One of her colleagues described her as “caring, warm and knowledgeable”, while others noted her collegiality in assisting staff from other departments, as well as her own. In addition, Dean provides guidance to less experienced staff members and is significantly contributed to the esprit de corps of the organization.

Since then, Dean has been promoted at CHS first to physician acquisition analyst and most recently to assistant director.
