Long Island’s first ever Walmart Market opened in Levittown on July 15 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

At 50,000 square feet, the store about one-third the size of a regular Walmart. It offers a full grocery selection, prepared food, fresh baked goods, a self-serve deli and a bakery.

Reviews so far for the new store have been mixed, with several Patch users expressing their disappointment on the site.

“The produce section was sketchy at best and over all the prices were around what you would find elsewhere,” said Patch user Tony S.
