Wantagh Residents Open New Fitness Center in Bellmore

Two Wantagh residents have opened a new fitness center in Bellmore and welcomed the local community by offering free workouts the first weekend of March.

Mike Tullo and Sean Kramer of Wantagh along with Levittown resident Adam White are owners of CrossFit Invasion, which is located in the heart of Bellmore on Bedford Avenue. The facility, which first opened on March 1, offers a program that combines elements of gymnastics, Olympic weightlifting, and cardiovascular conditioning into "a regimen of constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity."

Tullo teaches health and physical education at Garden City Middle School while Kramer is s New York City firefighter. White is a National Academy of Sports Medicine corrective exercise and performance enhancement specialist who holds seven CrossFit certifications including movement and mobility as well as Olympic lifting. The center also features an additional coach and a nutritionist on staff. .

“CrossFit Invasion is committed to each member’s personal performance, overall wellness and success,” White said. “We built this box to offer first-class fitness and nutrition to effectively, and most importantly safely, enhance the well-being of the community.”

CrossFit Invasion will be celebrating their grand opening Ribbon cutting ceremony with the Bellmore Chamber of Commerce on May 1 at 4 p.m. An introductory first month rate of $99 is being offered until April 15 that includes free assessments as well as introductory basic training.

$20 million of the $40 million will be spent on adding a pocket track, presumably east ofRead More Massapequa. Currently, trains are reversed east of the Wantagh interlocking, and while the engineer walks through the train, it blocks the track. This addition of a "pocket track" will probably also help Wantagh commuters some times, just as an emergency pull-over space on the LIE helps.
