Business Owner Offers Cost-Cutting Green Energy Products at SuperGreen Solutions Store

Brian Metz knows green energy saves more than the environment; it saves cash as well. The former financial industry professional has been offering residents of southeast Nassau County, N.Y. energy solutions to help build a better future and save money on their current energy costs since April 2013. Metz is working to educate his customers on how green energy can put some money back in their own wallets.

“People don’t realize how much they can save with very small and easy steps,” he said. “Just changing to LED light bulbs can save hundreds of dollars every year, for many years. With green energy, we’re helping ourselves as much as we’re helping the environment.”

SuperGreen Solutions is a single destination from which to shop green products for all aspects of residential or commercial use. The company offers a comprehensive approach, which includes rebate advice, tax credit guidance, sales, installation referral and after-sales service. It also provides in-home consultations to help customers make informed decisions about their purchases. Products range from LED lighting and solar power solutions to ventilation and hot water heaters for homes and businesses. Additionally, the company focuses on the booming industry surrounding energy management, energy storage and electric vehicle charge stations. Customers include home and business owners looking to lower their energy and maintenance costs through the use of a single product or by completely greening their home or business from head to toe. Commercial clients typically include auto dealerships, hair salons, gas stations, restaurants and bars, grocery stores, office buildings and more, as well as builders and contractors.

Metz spent 22 years working in Wall Street’s dynamic financial markets. He left the industry during the financial crisis and, seeking to build a stable second career for himself, decided to buy his own business. When he found SuperGreen Solutions, he immediately felt it was a fit for his goals. “This market is ripe for growth,” he said. “The old energy models no longer work for people or for the environment. We need to be responsible for the future of our planet, and people need to find ways to cut energy costs. With SuperGreen I offer those solutions on every scale, from minor changes for single households to comprehensive solutions for businesses.”

Metz opened his SuperGreen Solutions store on April 15, 2013. Since then he has been working primarily with small businesses to help increase energy savings and provide green energy solutions on a larger scale. He has found that many in the communities he serves still know little about green energy and its many benefits. He has also found that consumers are still shy about spending money even as the recession abates.

“People are still tentative to spend, even on things like green energy which can save them a lot of money in both the short and long term,” he explained. “There’s a need for education and for product availability, and SuperGreen Solutions fulfills them both.”

Metz is focused on reaching out to more businesses and residents in southeast Nassau County to help them find energy cost-cutting solutions for their needs. As he grows his customer base, he hopes to open three more SuperGreen Solutions stores in the next five years.

“The time is right for my business and our products,” he said. “There is so much green energy can do.”

SuperGreen Solutions was founded in 2011 and currently has 18 locations in the United States, including California, Texas, Iowa, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Georgia and Colorado. The company plans to open an additional 50 locations this year, with a total of 70 locations open by the end of 2014, and to have a total of 300 locations within 3 to 5 years.
