April 13: Strategy Meeting Against Possible Strip Club, Local Girls Lacrosse Battle

What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1. The wet conditions the Wantagh-Seaford area experienced yesterday will continue today with the National Weather Service forecasting rain for much of the day and a high temperature of 55 degrees.

2. Opponents of new entertainment facility slated for 3500 Sunrise Hwy, Wantagh that many fear will resemble a strip club have scheduled a strategy meeting for tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Cafeteria. Among the topics that will be dicussed are legal strategy, fundraising and community notifications. 

3. A local girls lacrosse battle between Wantagh and Seaford is scheduled for today at starting at 4:30 p.m.

4. The softball team is scheduled to host Sewanhaka starting at 4:30 p.m.

5. Local songwriters, singers, comics and poets will have a chance to perform in front of an audience tonight at in Wantagh, which is holding an open mic night from 9 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.
