Feb. 15: Honoring a Seaford Legend, Wrestling Success 100 Things To Do Countdown

What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1. Hundreds of mourners honored longtime Seaford civic leader and maritime icon William Powell at his funeral yesterday at Charles Schmitt Funeral Home. In case you missed it here is the  on the tribute given to the  Seaford legend.

2.The third weekly edition of our new 100 Things to Do in Wantagh-Seaford will be posted later today so be sure to check back and find out what local activity made the list this week.

3. Wantagh and Seaford wrestlers shined this past weekend at the Nassau County Championships at Hofstra University. In case you missed it here is a recap.

4.  People searching for an activity for their young children can attend  at the Wantagh Public Library from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Registration is open to children ages three to six.

5. After a few warm days temperatures are going to drop today with the high expected to hit around 32, according to the National Weather Service. Warmer weather is on the horizon though for the remainder of the week.
