Feb. 16: Event for Veterans, Deals for Kids, The Great Escape

What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1. Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell will be at the at 8 p.m. tonight  the electronic recording of veterans' services discharges free of charge. This event is open to all veterans and family members and is not limited to American Legion members.

2. Wantagh-Seaford Patch launched a new column last Wednesday called Mom Talk Q & A, which serves as a forum for local moms in the community to ask and answer questions about parenting. Check back at 1 p.m. for this week's Mom Talk Q & A topic on the issue of bullying and feel free to post your comments on the subject. 

3. Looking for fun accordable activities to do with your children this weekend. Check back later today for the second edition of our new Patch feature called Grab & Go Kids Planner to find the best local deals in the area.
