What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

Wantagh and Seaford residents are waking up to snow Wednesday morning. The snowstorm is expected to last until the early evening hours and could throw a wrench into many activities scheduled for the day.

1. The National Weather Service has a winter storm warning through 6 p.m. today with 12 to 18 inches of snow possible for Nassau County.

2. The winter storm may suspensions on Long Island Rail Road service and passengers are urged to check the MTA’s website or call (718)-217-5477 for the latest updates.

3. Weather permitting the and wrestling teams are both scheduled to hit the mats Wednesday evening. Wantagh hosts Division at 6:30 p.m. while Seaford is home against North Shore at 4:30 p.m.
