June 3: Crime Report, Opening of New Animal Home, Preserve Cleanup

What's happening in and out of Wantagh and Seaford.

1. Friday is expected to be sunny with a high temperature near 75 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

3. Last Hope Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation will celebrate its Wantagh grand opening tomorrow two months after first moving into the former Bideawee Home. The festivities celebrating the opening of the new Last Hope Wantagh Adoption Center on 3300 Beltagh Avenue will take place Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

4. The Seaford Wellness Council is sponsoring a of tomorrow morning starting at 9 a.m. Volunteers will meet in front of the Tackapausha Preserve Museum building on Washington Avenue, 100 yards north of Merrick Road in Seaford.

5. In case you missed it, yesterday a ran on our site about some second graders in the Hewlett-Woodmere School District who donated funds to a school for children with cancer in honor of a fallen Wantagh boy.
