Nassau County Gas Shortage: Where Can You Refuel?

As gas stations begin to run short of fuel, Patch wants to help - where are stations open? Let us know in the comments!

Even as power is slowly being restored to communities across Long Island, a new crisis is emerging: gas stations are running out of fuel.

"Many of the Island’s 6,000 gas stations overrun by drivers searching to fill their tanks are having trouble being refueled, as three of the area’s main terminals have lost power in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy and can’t supply tanker trucks waiting to deliver gas to retailers," reports Long Island Business News.

If you Tweet a location with or without gas, use #LIhasgas.

Patch wants to help. If you know of a gas station in your neighborhood that is open for business, please post it in the comments. This article is posted across all our Nassau County sites, so please make sure you include the full address, including the town. If you know of a station that is out of fuel, please share that as well.

True, true, I'm sure there's a political payoff/payback here somewhere.

If the trees are at the curb the Town of Hempstead will take them down for $150.00 per tree. If youRead More are a senior the cost to you is zero. Trees on your property are your responsibility.
