March 15: Quest for Brittany's Law, Presentation By Former United Skates Manager Now With FBI

What's happening and in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1. The National Weather Service says the Wantagh-Seaford area will be sunny today with a high near 45. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow so take care of those outdoor activities today.

2. In case you missed it, yesterday on Wantagh-Seaford Patch we ran a on Sandi Vega's quest to see a "complete streets policy" implemented at a local and state level in honor of her daughter Brittany, who was tragically killed trying to cross Sunrise Highway last September. The National Complete Streets Coalition is hoping that if approved the policy can be referred to as "Brittany's Law."

3. Shawn Henry, a former manager at in Seaford, is now working for the FBI as executive director of the agency's Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch. Henry will be back in the area this evening giving a presentation at his alma mater Hofstra University called "The Cyber Threat: Living in a Changing World" starting at 7 p.m. For further information call 516-463-5339.
