March 17: St. Patrick's Day, March Maddness

What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

 1.Today is St. Patrick's Day and many local residents will be heading into Manhattan for the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. The Long Island Rail Road will be operating extra trains on the Babylon branch to accommodate the large crowds.

2. The weather on St. Patrick's Day is looking spring-like with the National Weather Service saying it will be sunny with a high near 55.

4.Today marks the first big day of college basketball’s March Madness with several opening round NCAA Tournament games scheduled starting at 12:20 p.m. going lasting all the way until after midnight. Remember to hand in those brackets!
