March 2: E-Waste, Knitting, Mom Talk

What's happening in and around Wantagh and Seaford.

1. Wednesday's weather in the Wantagh-Seaford area, according to the National Weather Service, calls for mostly sunny skies with a high temperature of around 47 degrees and a chance of sprinkles after 3 p.m.

2. The Town of Hempstead is offering  for safe disposal of all unused/unwanted electronics, including computers, televisions, monitors, DVD/VCR players, cell phones and electronic accessories. To participate leave items by the curb before 6 a.m. and the town will haul them away for proper recycling.

3. Parents looking for a creative activity for their kids can bring them to the  this evening for a knitting class for children ages eight to 10. The class lasts from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
