May 9: Meet the Candidates Forum, Baseball, Girls Lacrosse

1. Monday is expected to bring pleasant spring-like conditions in the Wantagh-Seaford area with mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 69 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

2. A Meet the Candidates Night is scheduled for tonight at starting at 8 p.m. The forum will give voters a chance to hear the views of the three candidates for the Wantagh Board of Education. The three candidates running for two seats are incumbent trustee Michael Cucci, Michael Soethout and Mitch Zerner.

3. .The girls lacrosse team will be under the lights at home tonight to face Floral Park with a 6 p.m. opening draw.

4. The Wantagh and Seaford baseball teams both begin three-game sets at home today. Wantagh hosts Garden City in the first of a three-game series today with first pitch at 4:30 p.m. Seaford is home against Clarke starting at 4:45 p.m.
